And related to 2 past incidents of gross homophobia

So, further to my saying how important it was that an ex-gay “therapist” was sanctioned by the BACP we have another story that tells us just how vital this is.

A lesbian was forced to attend an Atos medical assessment to keep her benefits as a disabled person. She suffers from numerous mental health complaints – as so many within our community do – and was already anxious upon going to see the doctor

And that doctor decided it was appropriate to subject her to graphic, hateful homophobic rant

Already delicate, already hurting, needing help and forced by our ever more cruel government to have this assessment, she was attacked by the very people who are supposed to be helping her.

People – and I will not call them doctors because I refuse to grant them the title that when they piss on the Hippocratic oath – like this man cannot practice any kind of medicine – they cannot be trusted and they're in a position to do incalculable damage to extremely vulnerable people.

On another topic, the east end of London was plastered with many grossly homophobic posters. The posters declared the area to be a “gay free zone” with an extremely threatening religious verse “Arise and warn. Gay free zone. Verily Allah is severe in punishment.”

The bigot who posted these has been found – and in response to posting menacing hate speech that is frankly beyond intimidating and terrifying for residents of the area he has been fined. £100

£100 for plastering an area with bigoted threats? Well, glad to see the straight authorities took it seriously!
